Phase II of The LHAFA marina project is well underway, We have completed the large parking area and the new concrete launch. Half of the 25 floating docks that we are acquiring from ProDock Construction (www.prodocks.ca) are on site and construction continues on the remainder. We anticipate late June to have all the docks in place.

The Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association have been operating the Boat Launch at the main dock since 2011. Over the past 10 years we have invested significant funds in upgrades and enhancements to the boat launch floating docks and parking area. During this time, the annual boat launch fees have remained very low.

We are very pleased with the turn out we had last week where we have invited Mr. John Pisapio, Senior Labrador Biologist to give us a Presentation on wolves, wolf management and Current caribou situation in Labrador.
There were very many great topics and points brought up at the end during our open discussion.

The 10th AGM was held at Clyde's room at the Broomfield Arena on 21 November 2019.
LHAFA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. An Executive Committee, composed of President, Vice-President and Treasurer/Secretary, and up to 11 Directors are elected at the Annual General Meeting.
The current Board of Directors as of the 21 November 2019 AGM are:

Our 2019 community enhancement and safety officers, William Lawrence, Brady Coles and Colson Groves have been working hard clearing drifttwood, painting various things at the launch, planting flower beds and holding a BBQ to make the boat launch a more aesthetic and efficient place for our members!
