The Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association acquired the boat launch area in 2011 from The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador on a 5 year lease. We are committed to enhancing and improving this area for our members and the public. To use this launch a membership is required, with an annual fee of $50. Boating activity has significantly increased and congestion due to parking is a problem. Therefore, we are asking all the vehicles to park in the large area outside of the LHAFA office. There will be NO parking in the area of the boat launch. A "NO WAKE ZONE" will be implemented, watercraft and boats MUST NOT exceed 5 km/h within 100 meters of the launch/floating dock. The LHAFA, with a financial contribution from Transport Canada, is again implementing a Boating Safety Program under Transport's Canada's Boating Safety Contribution Program. Together we can improve safety and recreational boating for everyone in "Making Safety Part of the Tradition!" Thank you!
