On 14 January 2013, the land application process for the Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association's Shooting Range was approved! the location of the Future Shooting Range will be off the south side of the North West River Road across the road from Goose River Lodges. Work will start immediately to create a cut line around the Safety Template perimeter and errect warning signage. Construction of the shooting stations and backstop berm will begin in May 2013!
