AGM Update

Good Day Member,
The Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association Inc. held its 1st AGM in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on 3 November 2011 with over 50 members in attendance. We elected 5 new Directors and provided updates on the issues we have been involved with over the past year. We also had a representative from the Provincial Wildlife Division provide a presentation on the management and population dynamics of the George River Caribou Herd. We handed out over $300 worth of merchandise as door prizes thanks to donations from Joe's Autobody Ltd, Burkes Gun Oil, Universal Helicopters Newfoundland Ltd., the LHAFA, and the Newfoundland Sportsman. In the past year, the 250 members of the LHAFA were instrumental in constructing a public boat launch with floating docks and are poised to start the development of a 600 m provincially certified Shooting Range.
